Receiving hundreds of resumes every day, we only have so much time for each. However, given equal attention, some will make us eager to call them for further interview, while others are put into second priority, or even simply forgotten.
Surprisingly, as we start to interview those candidates, many of who were put into second priority turned out to be excellent talents. In these cases, not only were their resumes unable to highlight their strengths, but what were supposed to be a marketing tool for themselves became an obstacle for them to find a suitable job.
Similar to test preparations, jobs applications are time and effort consuming. However, since you have books and notes for exam preparation, what is the preparation needs to be done for job seeking? The following is our recommendation:
1.The target company’s background, advantages, and disadvantages: preparations in this area can not only impress the interviewer, but will also allow you to evaluate your eagerness to join the company.
In general, Taiwanese companies with a good compensation system are less open to salary negotiations. The only thing you can do is to strive for the best offer within the approved salary range of a given position. In contrast, foreign companies usually have more flexibility; namely, by understanding how fitted you are for the position, one can use it as a leverage to negotiate your salary. Moreover, one should assess whether the vacancy is of urgent need to be filled. Aligning with the law of supply and demand, only when the company has urgent need for the position can you get a salary of exceptional amount.
